Props-

Our props consisted of one white sheet which we used to wrap around Lydia to create a dress.

Clothing-

We stuck to a pale colour scheme as this portrays the look of innocence. You can also clearly see the lenght and colouring of her hair which looks lovely against the white dress.

On this photoshoot we wanted to get a varitey of shots of close ups and full body shots. We wanted to create a natural look leaving her make up and hair natural and concentrated on creating natural facial expression and body movements.

Photoshoot

I think that my Victorian Baths photo shoot worked best, this photo shoot I shot while I was on location filming the music video. I think that this photo shoot worked best because it ties in with the video giving it all the same feel of abandonment and loneliness. These Victorian Baths have so much feeling in them, it just adds such an emotive feel to the photographs on top of her facial expressions and body language. I positioned her in the places where I think most personality is, for example in the swimming baths and on the floor of abandoned rooms. Placing her on the floor of abandoned rooms really makes the artist and surroundings one, it shows how similar they are.

Another photo shoot that worked well was the one in my studio at college, out of this photo shoot I got some really clear head shots of the artist. These show her in more detail because they get more close and personal with her. I took these photographs focusing on making her look serious but fun, I based this on the Lana Del Rey album cover where she has a similar kind of looks. I wanted the artist to give a sense about what her music is about. Also because this is her first single I wanted her to show that she is serious about what she is doing rather than being too playful and the target audience not thinking that she is taking it serious. I wanted to create a strong, powerful look and I think I have achieved that look in this photo shoot.

This is our photoshoot we did in the studio to get some clear shots against a white background. We could also then choose the lighting we wanted to create a nice glow on her face.

We then did one big photoshoot and split it up in order of dresses. We wanted to make sure we had the correct image so we tried lots of differrent dresses on our model which each create a very different look. Here we chose to use the black dress because it makes it a lot simplier to cut the model out on photoshop, it also made her skin colouring stand out which contrasted lovely with the colour of the dress.

Next we used a patterened dress to create a different kind of look to see what effect it gives. We think that this dress is too complex for what we want to attchive.

Next we did a photoshoot in a purple dress because it didnt matter about the colour because that can be changed in photoshop, we just concentrated on the type of dress because it was something different. We only got one good shot from this photoshoot, eventhough we only got one the one we got was really successful and worked well. However we felt that this photograph was too posed for the digipak and didnt portray the image we wanted to portray.

Next we chose a red dress to portray passion and love which the song is about therefore we felt that it matched well. She also really suits red because of her dark hair and light complexion so we felt this was a good choice.

We next did a photoshoot on location to take advantage of the beautiful, vintage backgrounds. These came out really nice because they look more natural and relaxed, she just fitted into her surroundings.
