Music Video
I chose the location of the Victorian Baths in Manchester for our shoot and recording. Ichose this location because it has an elegant feel when inside because of the quite pastel colours. Also it is empty and creates the feeling of our artist being alone.
The actual shooting was done in various rooms within the building including two turkish pools (a female and a male), the old offices, vintage rooms and many hallways throughout the building. We wanted to use the whole building to get a variety of shots with different
backgrounds to create different dramatic effects through different feelings. We did this to
concentrate on our Mise en Scene and to portray the emotives of passion and innocence. We also created the passion and innocence emotions through the use of colour in our costumes.
I had to pay to hire this location, however I did get it cheaper because I have done photography here before but I felt that it was worth the money because this then meant that we got the whole building. I think that it made a massive difference having all the different rooms because each one was totally different which made the video ad photographs more interesting which is what I wanted.

Music Video
For the second photo shoot I decided to use the location of the music video as it was available to us for the video and I thought that the setting was perfect for the portrayal of a natural and delicate emotion.
Again I used natural surroundings of the baths. Rebecca and I decided to take different roles in the shooting of the video and photographs. So that we both had ago at filiming and the photographs because each person has a different eye for certain shots. This helped us come up with a wide range of images and video shots.

Then I chose to do a photograph at a local park to get some landscape photographs for the digipak. I thought that I should get some simple nature photographs because I have lots of our artist and we think that using too many of her will over crowd the digipak. This location was perfect because there is lots of varied natural shots, such as the water, trees, dark woods and open spaces. The sky was also great for landscape photography because it wasn't too bright therefore it couldn't over expose the photograph. Also there was clouds in the sky which meant that the sky wasn't blown out, it added texture and effect.

College Photography Studio

I had to work with what I had with regards to our college photography studio because it is only a small space and doesn’t have the professional backdrops. However I can still manage to get professional looking photographs using the lights to alter where I highlight her face giving us an edge over natural lighting.
